The Elephant Court Resort

Provides a luxurious atmosphere of India. The hotel staff went over the top to make our stay enyoyable. The absolute bright spot in our trip to South India. Thank you staff of Elephant Court Resort.

Some art decorations in the rooms would be the only suggestion.

Very neat and spacious room. The property is located in the centre of the city and are accessible to all the tourist attractions.

The swimming pool was not temperature controlled and didn’t meet the standard of a 5 star hotel.

The room and bathroom were spacious, the amenities were adequate. The staff was very friendly and flexible to our needs

It rained heavily when we were in Thekkady, so there was a frequent loss of electricity at the hotel which led to loss of wifi connection. Although the generator kicked in fast, It was very annoying as I could not use my electronic devices continuously.

Cleanliness, location, welcome by the team, food, swimming pool. Family friendly.

Time taken to deliver the food for in room dining, issue with the restaurant phone and couldn’t contact them.

The hotel is in a perfect location for visiting the Periyar Lake and Thekkady itself.Rooms are spacious and immaculately kept. All the staff were extremely helpful.. The pool area was always quiet and a perfect place to relax.Breakfast had an amazing choice of hot and cold dishes. There was an egg station and dosas etc were made to order. We ate here one evening on our 3 night stay. The buffet meal was delicious and very good value for money.

Warm, friendly, welcome by staff members. Looked after us very well. We were quick to resolve my wifi issue. We broke a bottle, and the staff came immediately to help clean up.Would definitely stay again.Chef and his staff were a delight, and the restaurant manager ensured we were well taken care of. Thank you all.

The peaceful environment and the wonderful welcome we received - from the welcome to departure we were treated with courtesy efficiency respect and the fact that nothing was a problem to the staff .

We did not have any negatives

Hotel had excellent ambience and had touch of hertitage and nature. Rooms with balcony was nice to sit outside and enjoy the view

Great location close to everything Wonderful service and excellent mealsGood outdoor seating areas with roomGreat service from pool attendant and waiters

Great staff and clean room. Very peaceful and quiet

Actually nothing! It is sold as a 5 star hotel but it is a 3 star one. Very old. Very dark inside. Not clean. Hearing all what the people talk and do in the next room. Absolutely no comfort. Why is it sold as a 5 star hotel??? I was really upset. The electric wires ot the lamps were apparent.. AC was very noisy and terrible so I closed it. Inside the cupboard came a humidity smell...really that hotel should be totally renovated to become a 5 star one!!!

The restaurant was empty. All the food on the menu was not available. 5 star hotel?? A big joke. And I was debited more than I expected. A really bad experience compared with some good ones I had in this region. I had a cockroach in the bathroom. I could not close the main door with the key I got... I have never seen such a terrible place. The walls in the bathroom were dirty and 1st day I had only 1 towel.

Beautiful large room and bathroom., super comfy bed and everything you needed in the room. Large balcony also. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly and excellent service. Spa is great and we both had a fantastic massage. Very good value for money. Location perfect, plenty of shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Gym also good. Highly recommend.

Could do with a few more outside tables and sun lounges around the pool area.

Overall Stay was good

the room was not spacious as mentioned in the booking. We got bigger rooms in other locations at lower rates

Its location.

Poorly maintained. Food quality needs to be improved with local specialities.

Beautiful place with tea by the pool everyday! Staff was the best!!

There were several stairs to get to the elevator so it’s not truly accessible.

Beast was poor. Need western as well. Location ok

The facilities are substandard

Very poor

I booked 2 rooms via booking.com but cancelled one well in advance. I got a cancellation confirmation confirming there are no charges. When asking for the refund though, the staff was extremely uncooperative and made my experience with them quite unpleasant. Even after multiple follow ups since the last 15 days, there has been courtesy to even reply or engage. And of course, no refund. Quite disappointed. Would not recommend the property and especially would be wary of the attitude of the staff.

Excellent location, good spread for breakfast, excellent rooms. What takes the experience to a totally higher level is the staff at the property. Their interaction makes you want to go there again. Honesty, attention to solving issues - just love the people here.

A better choice (at reasonable expense) for guests who do not want to eat the buffet meals.

The spread of the buffet was good . Bathrooms were spacious but there was mould on the bathroom floors shower screen which could have been cleaned better if they self rate this as five star. Property is dated and needs repainting in many areas.

Staff could have been more accommodative. They didn’t honour booking.com discount genius price and charged us 15 % extra on arrival and also for an extra bed which they didn’t mention earlier .We have stayed in 3 five star hotels prior to this stay and this certainly wasn’t five star service as they claim to be.

The spacious room, the indoor swimming pool and courteous as well helpful staffs at restaurant.

The loc is in middle of a small town, no view to offer, reception cell reaction a bit lacking, a 4 star hotel at max but can't be termed as 5 star with a Mediocre Spa
